ACTIVITIES

Our extensive Life-Enrichment program offers a variety of daily events for each separate neighborhood. Activities include everything from one-to-one’s and small groups to large events and campus-wide celebrations.

Through inspired activities, residents are encouraged to engage, explore and enjoy something new every day.

OUR ACTIVITIES

Upon admission, residents and their families meet with Therapeutic Recreation staff to identify resident’s unique interests, hobbies, strengths and abilities. Topics discussed can range from favorite styles of music and family history to past careers and current passions. Together, we create a holistic care plan that incorporates individual comforts, interests, and requests.

Our Therapeutic Recreation team presents a lifestyle unlike any other long-term care facility in central Minnesota. With separate Social Calendars for each neighborhood, residents choose from a variety of activities running from morning to night, 7 days a week.

Daily calendars include activities such as arts and crafts, soothing music therapy, a wide array of games, pet therapy, trivia and current events, large and small group activities, light exercises and stretching, Holiday celebrations and special family events. We also enjoy frequent off-campus excursions to places like local baseball games, fishing trips, shopping outings, visits to local restaurants, and casino jaunts!

Outdoor areas like the Terrace, Meadow Gardens, and the Center Courtyard provide a secure place for tenants to savor the beauty of the outdoors or entertain during the spring, summer and fall months.

Some of the resident’s favorite events include:

  • Fourth of July Parade
  • Halloween Skits and Haunted House
  • Staff Lip Sync Contests
  • Wedding Fashion Show and Vow Renewal
  • Hometown Christmas
  • Intergenerational Programming
  • Visits from Country Manor’s Resident Therapy Dogs, Sophie and Sadie.
Family is always invited to join us for on-campus events and outings!
“You can be busy every minute of the day if you want to be. There is always something to do or someone to visit with!”
